Gruenert's Biography
Mr.
Gruenert's practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate law,
construction law and general civil litigation, including creditors
rights, products liability, environmental litigation and securities
litigation. He obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Montana
in 1977, majoring in Political Science and History, and graduating
with Honors. He received his law degree from the Washington and Lee
University School of Law in 1983. In law school he served as a Note
and Comment Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Mr.
Gruenert is the former chair of the Wetlands and Endangered Species
Committee of the ABA Real Property Section, and the former chair of
the Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Section on Natural
Resources, Energy and Environmental Law.
Mr.
Gruenert was the founding partner of Gibson-Gruenert, L.L.P. in 1995,
and prior to that time was associated with a number of law firms in
Texas and Louisiana, including Barham and Churchill in New Orleans,
The Onebane Firm in Lafayette, Porter and Clements in Houston and the
Houston office of Haynes and Boone.
