Mr. Knecht’s practice areas
include: commercial litigation; business law; insurance law; general
litigation; family law; and wills and estates.
Mr. Knecht obtained his B.S.
degree in criminal justice from the University
of Southwestern Louisiana
in 1990. For the next six years, he
served as a police officer/detective with the City of Lafayette Police
Department before leaving to go to law school.
He received his law degree from Loyola University of New Orleans School
of Law, J.D. in 2000, with Honors, and served as the Managing Editor of
Substance and Citation for the Loyola Law Review. He is admitted to practice in all state
courts of Louisiana and the United States
District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, as well as
the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
