Mr. Gruenert's practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions and general civil litigation, including creditor's rights, products liability, environmental litigation and construction litigation.
Mr. Gruenert obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Montana in 1977, majoring in Political Science and History, and graduated with Honors. He received his law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1983. In law school he served as a Note and Comment Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Mr. Gruenert is the former chair of the Wetlands and Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Real Property Section, and the former chair of the Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Section on Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law.
Mr. Gruenert was one of the founding partners of Gibson, Gruenert & Zaunbrecher in 1996, and prior to that time was associated with a number of the leading corporate law firms in Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Gruenert is admitted to practice in Texas, Louisiana and the District of Columbia.
